Picking The Perfect T Shirt

Finding the perfect shirt for your event can be very overwhelming. These days, there are different brands that offer different materials, blends, cuts, and so many other varying details that one can easily get lost in the mess. There are a few key points to remember when deciding which shirt will be best for your purpose.

First, will your t shirt be for sale or for giveaway? This is important for quality purposes. If the shirt you are having made is for giveaway purposes, it may be best to choose a mid quality classic brand and style, such as Gildan preshrunk cotton. However, if your shirt is for sale, you may be better off with a higher quality shirt such as Nextlevel or Bella/Canvas. These shirts are ringspun and lighter weight with stronger fibers.

Next, who will be wearing your shirt? Some brands of shirts have straight, loose torsos, while others have a fitted torso. will you need a long cut or regular? For a more active event, a tank may be more appropriate. Most brands carry a product in each cut.

Once you have decided on the quality level and cut of the shirt, you will need to decide on the fabric. Polyester blends are cooler and used for high performance purposes, and can be found with Cool-Max and Climacool. Cotton/ polyester blends are used for a more basic shirt, and are usually the least expensive. Ringspun cotton shirts are lighter weight, and have a soft feel, but are a little pricier than their competition.

Last, when considering the color of your shirts, first consider the design. Ink colors can change depending on the shade of the shirt being used. For example, on light colored shirts light colors will look washed out, while dark ink will "pop". When using dark colored shirts, it's best to use a lighter ink. this will prevent the shirt from looking dull and listless.

The t shirt world doesn't have to be confusing. Considering these simple details will make your shirt printing experience much easier and more productive.
